Q. What is this JITSE Exam all about?


A. The Exam is a Japanese certification exam given by JITEC in Japan.  It is taken by over 250,000 Japanese IT workers in Japan each year. The exam given here is already in English.

Q. Is there a fee to take the exam?

A. Yes, the fee is 1,500 pesos and is non-refundable.

Q. How long is the exam?

A. The exam is 2 parts, morning theory, afternoon programming languages, everything is multiple choice. It will be given two times for 2005 in April and another in October.

Q. I cannot register through the Internet, is there another way to register?

A. You can register by downloading the application form and sending your application through FAX at 8982694 or sending it as an email or file attach through email to JITSE-PHIL.

Q. How do I know if my registration was processed?

A. For those who did online registration, you will be contacted through the email you submitted on the application form. All instructions and replies to you will be sent through this email that you have provided. 

Q. I have not graduated from school. Can I take the exam?

A. Yes, there is no age limit, diploma or degrees required to take the exam

Q. What do I have to know?

A. The bodies of knowledge can be downloaded for free. However, not everything listed will come out. Most important is that you must know at least 1 computer language  cobol, c, java or assembler for the afternoon part of the exam. This part is also multiple choice. You will not be asked to write a computer program.

Q. Where are the examination sites?

A. There will be 5 sites San Carlos University in Cebu, University of Baguio for Baguio. Philippine Christian University at Taft avenue for Manila, Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro and Ateneo de Zamboanga.

Q. How do I pay?

A. Payment is directly at the JITSE office, mailed in cheques, via telegraphic transfer to JITSE's RCBC account or through any RCBC commercial bank nationwide. You will be advised on how to pay when we receive your application. You will be given instructions on how to pay.

Those who pay at the JITSE Office can get their exam permit immediately. Bring 3 recent passport size photo and payment of 1,500.00

For those who paid through cheque, telegraphic transfer of RCBC commercial banks You will need to send through mail 3 picture 2 x 2 passport size and your cheque or a photo copy of the deposit slip or copy of telegraphic transfer as proof of payment to JITSE Phil Foundation before your exam permit can be processed.

Q. Where can we get review materials?

A. Previous exams are already posted on the website 1999 am, 2000 am and pm including answers. You may download them for free. Hard copy also available but only a few of these are left and cost 150 pesos per exam date (am and pm set).

We have also negotiated with  Japan for the copyright of their official reviewers. You may also purchase them from JITSE office. Prices 1,750 for all 5 books.

Q. I am from the province, is there an easier way to submit my requirements?

A. Yes, The sites are already posted on the main JITSE webpage under contact persons. You may also visit them to register and they will take care of submitting your documents to the JITSE Makati office.
